Gortnagulla

Stone Row

On our way to the Early Christian site at Caherlehillan we intended to visit the stone row at Gortnagulla. The field in which the row stood appeared very boggy and since the weather and time were against us we decided to take some pics from the roadway. Hopefully if we are here again during the summer months we will actually make it to the row. Only two stones were visible from the road - the third stone, the westerly one, has fallen. We believe the stones are aligned east-west.

Situated: From Glenbeigh head west on the N70 for about 15 kilometres then take a slight left , just after the garage and restaurant. The row is in the field on your left 3.6 kms down this road. See map.
